LEAN logistics reduces costs

As is well known, transport is not a value added in the sense of LEAN thinking and therefore nobody is willing to pay for it. Nevertheless, logistics cannot be eliminated from the company. Thus, in LEAN logistics, the goal is to make logistics as efficient as possible and to keep it as low as necessary. The focus here is on controlling and designing logistics processes. The goal is to reduce throughput times and inventories while still ensuring process reliability and delivery readiness.

In LEAN logistics we focus on internal transports, processes and visualizations. We offer solutions and products to make internal processes and transports leaner and more efficient, so that the employee at the assembly workstation can work waste-free. We develop material transport carts, flow racks or pallet carts individually for your product, which are integrated directly from the warehouse or production into the respective assembly line. The aim is to keep inventories as low as possible, to avoid unnecessary stock transfer and to guarantee the FIFO principle.

Material transport trolleys for internal transport

Material transport carts ensure internal transport from department to department. For example, from production to the paint shop or assembly. Individually developed for your product and for your process flow, they prevent reloading for the next work step. Depending on the work environment or process flow, transport trolleys require special properties. Closed profiles for increased hygiene requirements, heat-resistant rollers for drying rooms, or ESD design to prevent electromagnetic charging.

Material flow racks

Material flow racks according to the FIFO principle

For efficient and uninterrupted production on an assembly line, flow racks are indispensable. Flow racks are characterized by the fact that they are loaded with containers from one side and the material is removed from the other side. The empty containers are discharged to the rear via a roller conveyor or a tray and refilled by the logistics process. Our flow racks are designed to fit the particular workstation and depending on container and material sizes. In order to avoid mixing up and searching for the material during assembly, we recommend the use of our SETAGO® Pick by Light system.

Kanban Racks

This sophisticated system visualizes the material stock and thus simplifies just-in-time production. Kanban works according to the pull principle. This means that the consumer takes the material he needs. The supplier automatically replenishes as soon as a minimum quantity is not reached.
